Texas Chili

1 lb. ground beef or turkey
2 large cans of crushed tomatoes
1 can of tomato paste
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp sugar
2–3 T chili powder or add to taste preference
1 tsp oregano
1 ½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 large onion,chopped
1 T olive oil
1 lb. box of pasta noodles
Sour cream
Shredded cheddar cheese
Chopped onion
On medium heat, saute onion and garlic in olive oil in large pot. Cook onions and garlic until onions are tender. Brown ground beef with onions and garlic and then drain fat. Return meat and onions to pot and add cans of crushed tomatoes. Fill one of the large cans with water and add that to the sauce. Add can of tomato paste and stir well. Add sugar, oregano, chili powder, and salt and pepper. Let simmer on low heat for an hour. Cook noodles and drain. Pour sauce over noodles on individual plates. Top with cheddar cheese, sour cream, and chopped onions.
