That darn dragon costume…

I purchased this adorable dragon costume for dear eClaire about a month ago from my favorite store, Target. Which looked something like this:

Dragon Costume

No, that’s not her. You see as it turns out my darling, almost two year old, daughter recently decided that she has a mind of her own. Grrreat. She wouldn’t wear it. Period. No negotiation, no reasoning, she just. wouldn’t. put. it. on.

As my dad so kindly pointed out, if we can’t control her now, Lord only knows what we have in store down the road.

So anyways, eClaire was more than happy to be a firefighter along with her brother BC.

That’s so funny — we had a very similar dragon costume in our family. Our daughter didn’t want to wear it on Halloween either. She then, however, fought ferociously to wear it to the supermarket, dance class, Thanksgiving dinner and school.
We want strong women.….just not right now!

Nicholas was like that. Once he was 18 months, he wouldn’t wear anything we chose for him. I quickly learned to choose my battles. As long as he wore clothes, I didn’t care what they looked like.
