I’m a bit jealous.
OK, I’m really jealous. I want to go to Blogher ’07 with all of you. Months ago when I had the opportunity to do so, I was overwhelmed by the idea of showing up to a conference of many woman, alone. You see, people tend to think of me as outgoing. But truth be told, I’m pretty shy. I am terrible with small talk, and I freeze and have nothing to say in most situations.
So I opted not to go. And it’s a good thing really. In the last month we’ve had to unexpectedly pay for a new range in the kitchen, a deductible on the car (fender bender– not me), and a new screen door for the house. Apparently screens these days are not made sturdy enough to withstand a 70 pound chocolate lab’s exuberance. Who knew?
But with all this talk about Blogher, I’m inspired to go next year!
In the meantime, Lindsay at Suburban Turmoil has inspired me, through fear, to read Harry Potter in its entirety before I start back to school in two weeks. I’m on a mission. I’m just now need to figure out how I to my kids to watch themselves for the next several days so I can read.…
