Makeover Monday

I’ve been falling short on my Makeover Monday items this month. Things here have been a bit crazy.

Before I get to my goals for this week I must report on last week’s progress:

Plan and execute the perfect three year old party.

Complete!

I went to our local Michael’s and bought large sand buckets for $1 each. What a deal! My mom wrote each child’s name on his/her bucket using foam letters.. It turned out super adorable.

For the craft the kids decorated foam visors, also a Michael’s find. This was a bigger hit than I expected.

The pinata was a blast and adults and children alike had a great time. It was a fantastic day!

This week’s goals:

1.  Finances, yuck.

2. I signed up to be part of the Blog Exchange. Meaning I need to post another blogger’s post on my site Monday morning. Unfortunately I am going camping with the family from Friday morning until Monday evening.  See the problem? I need to figure out a way to get my Blog Exchange partner’s post up on my site on Monday morning.

3. This is our first camping trip as a family. Hubby has taken BC on an overnight-er, but eClaire and I did not join them. We will be gone for a few days and need to figure out a way to camp without bringing our whole house.

So there you have it.

Thanks to MoodSwingingMommy for creating Makeover Monday. If you’d like to participate, drop on over to her site and see what this is all about.

Makeover Monday err Wednesday?

OK, it’s Monday, right?  Seriously, it’s Wednesday already?  What a week.  This is our last week of school before our glorious 6 week break.  I worked Monday and Tuesday, so technically I’m done working for this school year.  But today I met the kids at the park for the end of the year field trip, and on Friday I’ll go back into school for a final goodbye.  This week has been packed with non stop movement.

Last week’s Makeover Monday goal was to finish my report cards by Tuesday.  I did.  Thank goodness.  It gave me more time to tie up all the other loose ends at school and at home.

This week’s goals all have to do with BC’s third birthday party this coming Saturday.

  • Pick Nonnie up from the airport on Thursday night
  • Clean, mop, clean some more
  • Buy a pinata for Saturday (BC: I want a PINATA!!!)
  • Execute the perfect, inexpensive, birthday party for a three year old.  This includes a beading station, decorate inexpensive Michael’s visors, collect candy from the pinata, food, and beer for the adults.  :-)

I have to say that I’m about as excited as BC is for this coming birthday.  It should be fun!

3.  I want to start organizing my pictures for the digital photo albums I desire to create for the kids.-Please.  Not even started.

4.  Holy moly.  I just realized that I have only two weeks left of school.  That means a TON of grading needs to get done and report cards too…  OK, this is a priority, and #3 will only get started if I procrastinate on the report cards.-Grading done, thanks to Hubby.  Report Cards will be this week.

Monday’s Makeover

Thanks to Moodswingingmommy for her Makeover Monday idea.

Last weeks goals:

Survive the plane trip home

Time with Hubby

Work out

1.  The kids were great on the plane, and I got home with not trouble.  Thank God!

2.  There has been minimal time to spend with Hubby.  One evening we took the kids in the Burley bike trailer and rode them to the park.  But with this unexpectedly busy work week for Hubby, we’ve just kind of passed in the wee hours of the morning.  I’m hoping that next week will be better!

3.  Exercise.  I went twice, but could have gone three times.  I feel like a slug this week and haven’t weighed myself since I flew to San Diego.  But judging by how my distended stomach  feels, I know that I need to cut back on the food and step up the exercise…

Which brings me to this week’s goals:

1.  Gym on W/F/Sat.  Less mindless eating, you know the drill.

2.  Finances.  Get us back on track after my jaunt down to San Diego.

3.  I want to start organizing my pictures for the digital photo albums I desire to create for the kids.

4.  Holy moly.  I just realized that I have only two weeks left of school.  That means a TON of grading needs to get done and report cards too…  Ok, this is a priority, and #3 will only get started if I procrastinate on the report cards.  :-)
