There are many reasons why I feel I should be the boss, all the time.

  • I’m the middle child.
  • I’m a mom.
  • I’m a teacher.
  • I’m a woman.
  • When Hubby and I met, I was his RA at college in the on-campus apartments. Enough said. :-)

Now why, WHY can’t I get my two year old son to just close the freaking door when I ask him to?

BC: “Actually Mommy, I’m just going to leave it a little bit open.”

Smiling Mom: “Please shut the door.”

BC: “No, I said that I’m going to leave the door open!”

SM: “Shut the door.”

BC: “But Mom I’m”

SM “Shut-the-door. Shut it!!”

I’m the boss! I’m the boss! Now, if someone would mind informing my children of this fact?
