A Family Necklace

About a month and a half ago I was watching Oprah. Don’t laugh!  I’m sure you have your vice too.  Mine hap­pens to be Oprah. And Dr. Phil And Ame­ri­can Idol. And What Not to Wear…But I digress.

In the Oprah epi­sode I’m spea­king of, Oprah inter­vie­wed Seal and his wife Heidi Klum.

“Wha­te­ver,” I though, “I know nothing about them, and I’m not too inte­res­ted. But then they began tal­king of their love for each other, their kids, and their prio­ri­ties.  And somewhere during that show they dis­pla­yed their family necklaces.

Family nec­kla­ces. What a cool idea!! My hus­band and I got tal­king. We wan­ted a family nec­klace too.… finish rea­ding this article at SVMB.

    I love that you & your hus­band got a hers and hims ver­sion of the nec­klace. It’s beau­ti­ful and uni­ting thing for a cou­ple. I love it!

    We did something simi­lar to that during our wed­ding — we star­ted a pearl nec­klace for Faith, with two pearls on the side repre­sen­ting us — and one in the middle for her. We made it part of the wed­ding cere­mony. Of course she abso­lu­tely refu­sed to par­ti­ci­pate — and that was all in the wed­ding video, but we still wan­ted to have something like a wed­ding ring for her. I love your necklace.

    And I love Dr. Phil and Oprah — I miss get­ting to watch my shows during the day. I can’t wait to have the tv back… or I guess I can, because that will mean Faith isn’t home with me.
