Uh, ya. I’m going to post that.

Smiling Mom: Hun?

Smiling Mom: I just asked you a question. Hun?

SM: Hun?

SM: HUBBY!

What?

Hubby: You’re not going to post about this, are you?

Smiling Mom: Uh, ya. I’m going to post about this!

This is how the first day of Hubby’s month long vacation went. Let’s hope for less **Dungeons and Dragons** and more laundry folding. :-)

**edited, Hubby informed me that it is Diablo II…Lord of Distruction. Sorry for the mistake Hubby.

This is how my first day of Hubby’s vacation was spent.

Doing Laundry

Doing laundry.

Oh, and blogging, of course!

Mommy Blogging

Now that I think about it, I might have even gotten a nap in there somewhere :-)

If one more person…

…says to me, “Wow, eClaire never cries like that when I watch her.”

I might just have to inflict serious punishment such as locking that person inside our 1100 sq ft house for seven days-in a row-without the air conditioner on-with two children-TV banned-the only food in the house being liver and spinach.

Maybe that will cure the need to tell me how she’s so much better for him than me.

Saying this to the mom who is tired, I mean ti-red of her daughter crying each and every time a diaper needs to be changed, clothes put on, or when the apple juice is presented in the wrong cup. (The cup preference, by the way, changes daily-hourly-by the minute.)

And let’s not talk about the shoes. Oh the shoes! eClaire is a shoe Nazi. They have to be the perfect pair of shoes (again the preference changes daily-hourly-by the minute) and SHE, the 17 month old, must put them on.

See any problem with this?

So after I enter the door and my dear daughter begins to cry, please hold your tongue. Don’t tell me that she never cries when you have her. I already know this little bit of information.

I guess I’m the lucky one.

No excuse me while I fix myself a drink.

Makeover Monday

I’ve been falling short on my Makeover Monday items this month. Things here have been a bit crazy.

Before I get to my goals for this week I must report on last week’s progress:

Plan and execute the perfect three year old party.

Complete!

I went to our local Michael’s and bought large sand buckets for $1 each. What a deal! My mom wrote each child’s name on his/her bucket using foam letters.. It turned out super adorable.

For the craft the kids decorated foam visors, also a Michael’s find. This was a bigger hit than I expected.

The pinata was a blast and adults and children alike had a great time. It was a fantastic day!

This week’s goals:

1.  Finances, yuck.

2. I signed up to be part of the Blog Exchange. Meaning I need to post another blogger’s post on my site Monday morning. Unfortunately I am going camping with the family from Friday morning until Monday evening.  See the problem? I need to figure out a way to get my Blog Exchange partner’s post up on my site on Monday morning.

3. This is our first camping trip as a family. Hubby has taken BC on an overnight-er, but eClaire and I did not join them. We will be gone for a few days and need to figure out a way to camp without bringing our whole house.

So there you have it.

Thanks to MoodSwingingMommy for creating Makeover Monday. If you’d like to participate, drop on over to her site and see what this is all about.

All partied out.

Yesterday was amazing, fantastic and spectacular! The weather cooperated with us, warm with a cool breeze. Friends and family came over to celebrate BC’s third birthday. It was a day to remember. I wish I could put into words just how proud I am of the family Hubby and I are creating. We have two fantastic kids!

Just before anyone showed up for his party, Hubby asked BC how old he was.

BC: Two.

Hubby: But it’s your party, that means you are three now.

BC: No Daddy. I’m not three until my friends get here.

CUTE!

If you would like to see a wider variety of pictures from our party, pop on over to my photo’s page or to my flickr page. But I’ll post some of my favorites right here.

Happy birthday Baby. I’m glad you entered my life three years ago.
